The purpose of Green.travel is to make it easier for travelers to connect with companies that are committed to the ideals of sustainable travel, which include three important principles:
- Protecting the environment
- Promoting economic and social justice
- Preserving authentic cultural heritage
We know that more and more people are traveling, and we know that more and more people want to to travel responsibly. So we've worked hard to identify companies
that have made a commitment to these three principles of sustainable travel.
Those are the companies you'll find on Green.travel. In addition, these companies will be rated from 0 to 5 Green Suitcases, based on the progress they've made in implementing sustainable policies. The more Green Suitcases they have, the more progress they've made.
Please note: On Green.travel, even companies that currently have a 0-Green-Suitcase Rating have begun to implement sustainable travel policies. They've proven that they're committed to making more improvements and to increasing their Green Suitcase Ratings.
